ExoForum 2026 – Exotec Head Office (Wasquehal, France)

4 février 2026 | Salons

Yesterday, I unexpectedly combined two passions: mountaineering 🏔️ and intralogistics 🤖.

Benedikt Böhm shared a powerful perspective on preparation as the key to success climbing the world’s highest peaks over 7000 m in under 24 hours and skiing back down slopes of up to 53°.
Just as striking: flexibility. Knowing when to stop. Aborting 50% of the attempts because pushing beyond limits is never a winning strategy.

The day was also an immersion into Exotec’s brand-new headquarters, the “Imaginarium”—a place where transparency is designed in, not just talked about.
A few figures that stood out:

  • 🌍 60 nationalities working side by side
  • 🏭 ~25,000 m² of facilities
  • ⚙️ Weekly production (1 shift):
    • 135 Skypod Gen2
    • 25 Skypod Gen1
  • ⏱️ 15 hours and 280 parts to build one Skypod
  • ✅ Each Skypod is tested on 260+ missions before leaving the site
  • 🧠 Skypath is assembled on-site, while machines are assembled at another facility in the Lille area

A big thank you to the teams of Exotec: Romain Moulin, Renaud Heitz, Thomas Genestar, Louis GRAND, Jérémie Rozenblum, laurent badetz, Benedikt Böhm and organizers for this inspiring day.
